These air charter companies suspend flights to some destination during low season March to mid-June due to capacity and for flights to Kiwayu you need to have minimum 2 passengers and the flight will go via Malindi or Lamu outbound or inbound same applies to flights to Diani (Ukunda) the flight might go via Mombasa outbound or inbound depending with the loads. Let 410 UVP E9/E20? 19 seats and Cessna Caravan 208? 12 seats and Dash 8-100.Maasai Mara game reserve? 11 airstrips? and each flight does minimum of 3? landings and 3 take offs and? different airstrips serves different tented camp, lodges and hotels so you must master the name of the hotel you are going to and listen to the announcements made for each landing and take off point to avoid being dropped at the wrong? airstrip. Flights out of Malindi to Maasai Mara or verse versa with less than 5 people you will be dropped in Mombasa or pay for the balance to make it 5 seats to enable the flight depart and arrive there.
A private charter flight comes in handy for those travelers who have connecting flights that does not match the scheduled flights timetable. Lamu,Maasai Mara,Samburu,Shaba,Amboseli,Tsavo,Meru,Ukunda,Mombasa,Malindi you? can fly direct to any destination within Kenya without having to go to any point of exit/entry unless you flying cross border then you will require landing and over flight clearances but also you need to observe carefully the? endurance of the aircraft you are flying and the alternate for fuel. Flights to Northern and Northern Kenya you will require police clearance as these are restricted areas due to insecurity. Some of these airstrips in Northern and North Eastern Kenya are untidy and you need to get the latest information before you fly and also the weather in Mars bit is always bad in early morning and in the late evening and in this case you will have to land at Marsabit Sigel.
