Objective:To investigate the characteristics of clinic and pathology,improve recognition of complexity,decrease the rate of misdiagnosis, and increase the rate of early diagnosis in young patients with colorectal cancer.Methods:Dates including clinical feature,previous history,family medical history , misdiagnosis , site of tumor , type of tumor mass and pathological characteristic from 156 colorectal cancer patients of age?35 in our hospital during January 2002 to August 2008 were retrospective analyzed,controlled with 168 patients selected in random from colorectal cancer patients of age?60 in the same period in our hospital.statistical analysis of data using x 2 test (P0.05).Young patients with colorectal cancer is primarily rectal cancer (53.85%),principal manifestations are bloody stools or myxo- bloody stools(67.95%),its symptom is lack of specificity and misdiagnosis rate is high to 65.38%.Hyp-differentiated cancer including myxo-adencarcinoma , signet-ring cell carcinoma , poorly differentiated and adenocarcinoma anaplastic are 123 cases(78.85%),C and D stage in Dukes staging altogether 111 cases(71.15%).Conclusion:(1)The incidence rate of colorectal cancer in our country youth is higher than overseas.(2)There are lack of specificity in young patients with colorectal cancer, which is high malignancy and aggravation.(3)It is helpful for us to early diagnosis by improving recognition and early coloscopy in colorectal cancer.
